Our History

In the early years, we were primarily a maker of birdhouses for outdoor hobbyists in America, but we now we also build bird feeders, yard art, and birdhouse accessories for consumers around the globe. We invented the first horizontal perch system, a design that was unique and innovative for its time, offering birds a way to safely land when flying toward a birdhouse.

Since 2009, the AWB inventory has only grown to a very modest level, and although it is not a large inventory, it enables AWB to specialize and concentrate on a limited list of quality products. In recent years, AWB has adapted and evolved into the digital space where we are now providing digital content in the form of articles, videos, ebooks and photos. Albeit the ever-present need for change, AWB remains steadfast in its original intentions to create specialty backyard items that offer long-lasting usability and pleasure.
